LAVEAUX, JR., William born May 17, 1927 in Los Angeles, CA. Passed away March 17, 2012 in Lancaster, CA. Mr. Laveaux has been a resident of the Antelope Valley for 52 years. He was a Seaman First Class in the US Navy and worked in distributing as a storekeeper at the Roosevelt Base in San Pedro, CA. He received the Victory Medal of Honor during WWII. He was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1946 and from the U.S.A. Armed Forces in 1955. He worked for the Palmdale School District for 26 years as a warehouse manager and deliveryman. He loved golfing, camping, fishing, and bowling. He is survived by his sons, Gary Laveaux of Lancaster, CA, Steve Laveaux and wife Robin of Palmdale, CA, daughters, Michele Laveaux of Wrightwood, CA, Pam Tamagni and husband Richard of Salinas, CA, Paula Espinoza and husband Joe of Salinas, CA, grandchildren, Kevin and Brandon Laveaux, Danielle and Dustin Gates, Ricky Wilson, Jennifer Wilson and Justin Scott, Johnny Degen, Chelemar Hoskins, Kyrie and Tawnae Laveaux, Staci Pierce, ShannonWatkins, John Tamagni, Jason Burris, Joseph Espinoza, great-grandchildren, Austin and Nathan Gates, Bailey Wilson, Brentley and Westin Scott, Caia and Emri Hoskins, Jackson Burris, Taylor and Lane Pierce, Sheridan, Quinn, and Dannica Watkins, sisters, Emma Orozco of Los Angeles, CA, grace Harao of Yesington, NV, and brother, Jess Torres of Sacramento, CA. A memorial service will be held at 10am Friday, March 30, 2012 at Chapel of the Valley Mortuary with interment to follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
