William Henry Johnson (Bill) was born 6/12/1937 to Willie A. Johnson and Ruth Johnson (Deceased) in Augusta, Georgia and departed this life on 3/15/2016 at the age of 78 years old. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorothy Jean Johnson on 2/5/2003 after 40 years of marriage. He leaves to mourn a dedicated son Kenji Johnson and his loving wife Janie Johnson of Pasadena, CA. Daughters Keashi Johnson Los Angeles and Kimberly Anderson of North Carolina. William and Jean opened their home and extended their love and hearts and adopted Shaun, Beyon, J.J. and Michael. He leaves to mourn two sisters, Evelyn Hutchinson of New York, Tareon Johnson of Augusta, GA., and Brother Howard Johnson of Bloomfield, N.J. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert Johnson of the Bronx, New York. He leaves behind a whole host of nephews, nieces, and grandchildren. William proudly served his country in the US Air Force from 1950 to 1953 and was honorably discharged after service in then French Morocco. After which time he settled in New York and started his career as an actor and had supporting roles in numerous Hollywood Blockbusters. He was quite inventive and holds numerous patents on various inventions. He later moved to Lancaster, CA, and was employed as a truck driver for Bullock’s Wilshire/Macy’s until his retirement in 1995. William will be remembered fondly as a man of strong Christian convictions, a loving husband, a doting father, an understanding brother and a loyal friend. He had an infectious sense of humor and could liven a room with his lively banter and sharp wit. He was the best of men, a true person to emulate and we will all strive to live up to his memory. We are all at peace for he is in his wife’s loving embrace once more, and they both walk with God.
