DAVIS, Vernon Harry born January 5, 1932 in Mission, Texas. Passed away December 14, 2015 in Palmdale, CA. Mr. Davis grew up in Ceres, CA and attended Ceres High School. He was in the US Navy from 1951 to 1955 serving in the Korean War. He has been a resident of the Antelope Valley for 58 years. He worked as an aircraft mechanic and he was also a fine woodworker. He received an award for Good Design and Fine Workmanship in at General Dynamics. Vernon is survived by his wife Ann Marie Davis (Turner), daughter, Vicki Lynne Scott and husband Louis, grandchildren, Stephanie Dawn Schmidt (Burling), Jesse Christopher Scott and wife Kathryn Gale (Ross), Casey Cathleen Sanders (Burling), greatgrandchildren, Timothy Raider Mundell, Kobe Brian Mundell, Piper Jolie Smith, Hunter Cole Scott, and Sage Adriana Scott. Mr. Davis is preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Austin Davis. A visitation will be held from 3pm to 7pm Monday, December 21, 2015 at Chapel of the Valley Mortuary with a funeral mass at 12pm Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church both in Palmdale, CA.
