Spence William Foster was born on May 2, 1944 to William and Essie Mae Foster in Monroe County, Arkansas. In 1965 Spence enlisted for duty in the US Military. During his service he became a Medic, and earned 2 Medals; The National defense Service Medical and another medal for Sharp-Shooting. He received a Honorable Discharge in 1971. After his term in the Military, Spence gave Ralph's Grocery Company 33 years of service before he retired. Preceded by the passing of his parents and 2 sisters, Spence was called to rest on December 5, 2015 at the age of 71. Spence is survived by his wife Mary and three sons; Akili, William, and Michael. He also leaves behind grandchildren, nieces, nephews. It is written: Psalms 90 vs 10, "As for the days of our life, they contain seventy years, Or if due to strength, eighty years". He fought the good fight but did not have the strength to go on. In his final days Spence would say, "Praise GOD for a beautiful day", "I have JESUS tears", and "GOD is good, GOD is LOVE, and HIS mercy endureth forever." Scripture from family: Psalms 91:14-16 It is written: Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name. He will call on Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. With a long life I will satisfy him, and let him behold My salvation." Amen.
