Samuel Parie Hutchinson was born on April 5, 1941 in Greene County, Georgia. He passed away on November 1, 2016 in Lancaster, CA. Samuel was a resident of Palmdale for 18 years. He served in the United States Army from 1960 to 1962. Samuel was retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 35 years. He is preceded in death by his wife, Carmen “Cookie” Negron-Hutchinson. Samuel is survived by his sons Phillip G. Hutchinson and Jeffrey M. Hutchinson, his daughter-in-law Jamie L. Hutchinson, his grandchildren Nathan Samuel Hutchinson and Joanna Carmen Hutchinson. Samuel leaves behind his sister-in-law Elizabeth Huerta, her husband Daniel Huerta and their three children Kaitlin, Alissa, and Mia. He also leaves behind his paternal aunt, Carrie Crawford, his nephews Tony Negron and James Negron, and niece Michelle Baker (nèe Negron). Samuel enjoyed hot southern California days, exercising, watching numerous sports (especially baseball), playing golf (with his old and new friends, especially John Soto), spending time with family, and his pet cat Girl. He was known for his strong-willed, peevish, yet charming personality. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and acquaintances. Samuel’s visitation will be held from 3pm to 7pm Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Chapel of the Valley Mortuary with a funeral mass at 11am Thursday, November 17, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
