Ronald Albert Bevan

Ronald Albert Bevan Sr, age 81, of Quartz Hill, California, left his earthly home for his heavenly one on September 15th, 2024.

Ronald was born on April 17th, 1943 in Tooele, Utah to John LaVar Bevan and Birdell Genevieve Fletcher-Schultze. 

On December 9th,1976 he married Sylvia LueAnn Meadowcroft.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years Sylvia, sons, Ronald Bevan Jr, (Angela) Michigan, Dillon Bevan (Katie) California, Cameron Bevan (Jennifer) California, Jordan Bevan, California. Daughter Wendy Bevan, Michigan. Brothers, Myrl Bevan, Utah, Don Bevan, Utah, sisters, Loya Ann Whitmer, Hawaii, and Susan Stevenson, Georgia. Sixteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents John and Genevieve Bevan, a son, Brian Bevan a daughter, Kristine Bevan, two sisters, Donna Jean Reynolds, and Camille MacDonald and a brother John Bevan.

He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Scotland for two years.

He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force stationed in Michigan. Once he left the military he worked for Lockheed-Martin for twenty years, and drove trucks for many years as well. But his true love and favorite job was when he was Santa Clause at many malls, parties, and family functions. Ron loved a good story and he loved to tell stories of his life and experiences to many. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 24th, 2024, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 3140 West Ave K. A viewing will be held from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral service. His burial will be with Military Honors at Lake Hills Cemetery, 10055 South State Street, Sandy, Utah.
