Renee Sperling

SPERLING, Renee Marguerite (Navarret) Renee was born in Santa Monica, California on June 15, 1938 to John M. and Mary (Dusserre) Navarret, both born in California. She passed away surrounded by her loving family and friends on Saturday, October 25, 2014. The Navarret family moved from Pacific Palisades to the west side of Antelope Valley in 1943 where they raised alfalfa for many years. Renee attended Rogers Elementary, Sacred Heart and graduated from Antelope Valley High school in 1956. In 1958 she met her loving and devoted husband, Frank, who had just moved from North Dakota to California where he struck gold in Renee! They were married on June 14, 1959. They started their family with the birth of their first daughter, Denise, second daughter, Deaun, and their son Kevin. In 1964 Renee and Frank started a business in Palmdale. They have been in their present location since 1970. Renee was an integral part of the growth and success of the family business from its beginning until shortly before she went Home to be with the Lord. Family was of the utmost importance to Renee. They travelled to North Dakota frequently to see the Sperling family, and attended numerous celebrations with the Navarret relatives in southern California. Renee and Frank travelled abroad to Germany where they rekindled family ties with Frank's German relatives and that bond remains strong. Renee traveled frequently, spending time with family and friends. Renee was an active member of Palmdale United Methodist Church where she served as treasurer for the United Methodist Women for many years. One of her greatest treasures were her friendships that grew from her Bible studies. She loved our Lord Jesus Christ and followed and honored Him by always serving others. Renee was a tenacious believer in reconciling relationships and often expressed the importance of never giving up on someone. Renee was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend and made an enormous impact on each and every one. We will carry her in our hearts forever. Our lovely 'French Lady' is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Frank; her daughters, Denise (Harvey) Holloway, Deaun (Tim) Zasadny; son Kevin; grandchildren, Amanda (Jordin) Hance, Bryan Holloway, Caroline, Claire, Annie and Laurel Zasadny, Devin Sperling, and great grandson Elijah Hance. Her sister Lorraine (Don) Voris; her nieces, Jennie Sebek, Kristi Aguilar, Leslie Platshorn and their families. Her brother, Bob Navarret, preceded her in death. The memorial to celebrate Renee's life will be held at Palmdale United Methodist Church, 39055 10th St. West, Palmdale, CA 93551, on Saturday November 1, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in memory of Renee to "Building the Next Generation," Palmdale United Methodist Church.
