Nancy Louise (Dluzak) Hutchings Our sweet kind hearted little sister and mother to Steven Hutchings has left her family to walk with Angels on September 23, 2014. Nancy was born at AV Hospital on May 19, 1961 to Jack and Dolores Dluzak who preceded her in death. Nancy, a long time resident of Lancaster graduated from Antelope Valley High School in 1979. Her favorite sport was tennis and she had a indeniable love for cats. Her professional life included Antelope Valley Theatre ticket taker, a vetrinarian assistant at Dr. Uno's office, she worked at the Ledger Gazet until it closed it's doors, then continued at Antelope Valley Press. After becoming a mom to Steven, Nancy worked for the Antelope Valley Union High School District starting at Quartz Hill cafeteria for 10 years. She proceeded to a full 8 hour position at Palmdale High School as the Cafeteria Lead Cook for over 9 years. Nancy loved working with the students and the school staff. Feeding the students was a her passion. She is survived by her beloved son Steven, her older brothers, Roger and Greg, three sisters, Teresa, Joyce, and Rita, and a younger brother, Tony, five nephews, Anthony, Samuel, Michael, Paul and Brian, four great-nieces, Alyssa, Kora, Elizabeth and Evelyn, and one great-nephew, Hunter. She is also survived by one sister-in-law, Theresa, and her sister Rita's longtime partner, Vince. She will be remembered as a devoted mother, wife, sister, and all around caring person. A celebration of life will be held in remembrance of the joy and humor she brought to all on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 2:00PM at the Palmdale High School Cafeteria located at 2137 E. Ave. R, Palmdale, CA 93550. In leiu of flowers, donations can be made to your favorite animal rescue in her name.
