Michelle Wheeler
June 4, 1978 — December 11, 2015
Michelle was born in Lancaster California, a small town girl with a heart the size of the world. She was raised in Rosamond and graduated from Rosamond High School. At an early age Michelle put her natural energy and glowing charm to good use and became a youth football cheerleader. She continued the cheerleading tradition on through her high school career. In high school she played softball and maintained a 4.0 grade point average. Michelle served as Miss Rosamond in 1995-96 proudly representing her hometown at events and dedications across the valley. Michelle was an actress and an artist and enjoyed creating and building throughout her life. She loved Lucille Ball and manifested the best of her humor in a natural and hilarious way spreading laughter where ever she went. After achieving her AA at Antelope Valley College, she completed the nursing program and became a Registered Nurse. She put that training to use and saved the life of a man at her local gym; along with bringing joy and genuine care to countless others. She worked as a NICU nurse at AV Hospital taking care of at-risk infants. Michelle was married for a brief time and is survived by her gregarious 9 year old son, Azlan Wheeler who is as charming and hilarious as his mother. She faced cancer with her team of Wheeler Warriors. Her body succumbed to the disease after a hard fight. Michelle was a ray of light with a heartwarming smile and a generous and loving personality. She impacted the lives of many people. Her numerous friends and family will remember her always. She will be missed.
