Marion Nixon

NIXON, Marion Roberta born to Henry and Ruth Funky on March 10, 1921 in Berkeley, California. Passed away October 9, 2015 in Lancaster, CA. Marion is survived by her sons, Kenneth Nixon (Cynthia), and Charles Nixon, sister, Virginia Hammer, grandchildren, Luke Nixon, Mark Nixon, Vincent Nixon, Julie Alexander, Andrew Nixon, and 5 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Evan Hammer, Douglas Hammer, Jacqueline Hammer-Gilio, and Diana Ward, and her lovingly adopted daughter and granddaughter, Glenda Bomhoff and Lynnie Worley. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Nixon son, Ronald E. Nixon, and sister, Ruth E. Hayes. Marion was a longtime member of the Women of the Moose and the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 3552. She also participated for many years with “Santa’s Helpers”. Mom will be remembered for her generous heart, love of people and signature laugh. A memorial service will be held at 1pm Saturday, October 17, 2015 at the Palmdale Moose Lodge #507 3101 E.
