Lorraine Lendt

LENDT, Lorraine Adel Passed on May 19, 2014 after a great life with her daughters and grandchildren by her side. Lorraine was born on February 13, 1934 in Marietta, Minn. Her family moved to Los Angeles, Calif., where she graduated from Dorsey High School and obtained an AA degree and worked at Seagram’s distillery. In 1956, Lorraine moved to Palmdale where she raised her 3 children. She went to work as a secretary for the Palmdale School District with the Super Attendant. Lorraine worked for 35 years before retiring. She enjoyed playing volleyball with the ladies at work, and playing bingo with her senior friends and going on bus trips. She also enjoyed cruises at sea with a couple of her friends from high school. Lorraine is survived by her twin daughters, Julie Lendt Blagg, and Lauralee Lendt Chase, 2 brothers, Leo Limberg, and David (Danice) Limberg, and 5 grandchildren, Christopher Blagg, Danielle Tuttle-Moore, Shamous Smith, Shauna Smith, and Joseph Chase, 8 grandchildren, Tristen, Dedrick, Darion, Dione, Shamous, Hailey, Gunner, and Lane Landon. She is preceded in death by her son, Michael Lendt, and parents, Leslie and Marie Limberg. “You will forever be missed and in our hearts. We Love You.” A memorial service will be held at 11am Friday, May 30, 2014 at Chapel of the Valley Mortuary with a reception to follow at the Palmdale Moose Lodge on Ave. Q in Palmdale.  Chapel of the Valley Mortuary, Palmdale Directors.
