Larry Little

June 6, 1952 — February 4, 2020

Larry Donald Little passed away on February 4th 2020. He was born on June 16th, 1952 in Miami, Florida to Mattie Dock and Anthony Little. Both have preceded him in death. Larry is survived by his ex-wife Carlene Little and daughter's Edna Little (from a previous relationship), and LaSheieka Little. Larry has a host of siblings, some which have preceded him in death. He is survived by his sisters' Bessie Dock, Dee Dee Dock, and Claretha Carnage. He is survived by his brothers' Lafayette Dock and David Dock. He is also survived by a host of cousins, nieces', nephews', other family and friends. Larry lived life to the fullest, never being afraid of challenges or changes. While still a teen, Larry would enlist in the U.S. Marines. Although this career was short lived, he would be associated with the military once again when his wife joined the U.S. Navy. Larry traveled with his wife and daughter LaSheieka throughout her military career. He would become a "jack of all trades" throughout his life. He was able to fix cars, build cabinets, set up stereo equipment, and even spent time as a disc jockey. He even built computers, building his daughter's first computer while she was in college. Larry enjoyed spending time with his daughter. She was his riding buddy, he took her just about everywhere he went. One of his proudest moments was when he was standing beside his daughter on the football field as she was crowned homecoming queen. He was also a super proud father when she would graduate college. Larry had a very warm personality and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed making other's laugh. He also enjoyed photography, traveling, NFL football and cooking. No one ever turned down a plate when he was at the stove/grill. Oh how he loved a fried pork chop! Larry also enjoyed music. His household was no stranger to waking up on a Saturday morning to tunes of soul, r&b, and gospel. Larry had his challenges in life, but would learn that his Savior, Jesus Christ would never leave nor forsake him. He taught LaSheieka to trust in Jesus with all her heart and soul. This has proven to be the best lesson a father can teach his daughter. -- Thank you Dad
