Kimberly Robin Morales (Rodriguez), special education teacher at Keppel Union School District after a long battle with cancer passed away on May 14th, 2020. Kimberly was born in the Antelope Valley and lived in Palmdale, California. She graduated from Highland High School (class of 1999), continued her education at San Diego State University receiving her Bachelor of Science in Applied Arts and Sciences and Criminal Justice degrees. Kim continued her education receiving teaching certifications in Special Education and was working on her master’s at the time of her passing. Kimberly started her teaching career nine years ago as a substitute teacher with Keppel Union School District, taught different upper grade levels including 8th grade special education. Kimberly loved her position as a Special Education Teacher for Lake Los Angeles Elementary. She loved her students and was especially fond of her time coaching the school’s soccer team. Kim’s additional loves included hiking, exercise, travelling with family and friends, the Los Angeles Dodgers, and was an avid reader and student of life. Kim was a devoted mother who loved her family. Kim is survived by her children Alexander and Angelina, her parents Ray and Linda Rodriguez, brothers Ruben (Cassandra, Michael, Nathan, Joseph) and Abel (Sharon, Kazian, Keani) and numerous other loved family members and friends. Kim’s family has celebrated her life privately and thank the many family and friends that have reached out to them to express their friendship and love for her. The family will be announcing memorial services and celebration of her life at a later date.
