Kenneth Metzler

METZLER, Kenneth James, Born September 13, 1929 in Ellicottville, NY.  Passed away March 18, 2012 in Palmdale, CA.  Kenneth had been a resident of the Antelope Valley for nearly 25 years.  He retired from General Motors in 1987 as Manager of the G.M. Training Center in San Leandro, CA.  Mr. Metzler enjoyed woodworking and was an RV-er until his health prevented it.  He was also with the Volunteers on Patrol with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and was the Antelope Valley Area Coordinator for the Prison Fellowship.  He is survived by his sons, Michael Metzler (Janet) of Palmdale, CA, Mark Metzler (Marcia) of Parker, CO, Matthew Metzler (Shannon) of Pittsburgh, PA, daughter, Lynne Clemens (Hilary) of Lynn, MA, grandchildren, Steven (Candice), Miranda, Conner, and Lena, and great-grandchildren, Rhylyn and Lylah.  He was preceded in death by his first wife Arlene in 1998 and second wife Pat in 2001.  Visitation will be held from 3pm to 7pm, Friday, March 23, 2012 with funeral services at 10am, Saturday, March 24, 2012 both at Chapel of the Valley Mortuary with interment to follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
