Harlan Harrison

January 11, 1927 — March 20, 2012

HARRISON, Harlan “Stew”, born January 11, 1927 in Terre Haute, IN.  Passed away March 20, 2012 in Palmdale, CA.  Mr. Harrison retired from McDonnell Douglas after 31 years.  He was a member of the Palmdale Elks Lodge for 48 years and was a past officer.  His greatest hobby was his woodworking and his love of music.  He also was an avid Nascar fan.  He leaves behind his loving wife of 65 years, Juanita Harrison, son, Stuart Harrison (Marsha) of Texas, brother, Cecil Harrison (Marion) of Salton Sea, CA, grandson, Stu-J “Michael” Harrison (Heather) of Texas, sister-in-law, Geraldine Anderson of Palmdale, CA, brother-in-law, Peter Riskus (Jeanne) of Victorville, CA, 3 great-grandchildren, Haley Harrison, Mason and Lexi McKinney, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents, WM and Anna Harrison, brother, James Harrison, and granddaughter, Kimberly McKinney.  Special tribute and thanks to the Hoffman Hospice staff who provided so much loving care, Cindy, Angel, Delores, Danielle, Joel, and all the others.  A memorial service will be held at 11am Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Chapel of the Valley Mortuary in Palmdale.  In lieu of flowers you make donations in Mr. Harrison’s name to the charity of your choice.
