Geraldine Visco

Geraldine "Sue" Visco , age 72, of Costa Mesa, CA passed away March 21, 2014 peacefully in her sleep.  She was the daughter of William G. Cochrane and Katherine V. (Boden) Cochrane.  She is survived by her two sons, Ricky of Lancaster, CA and William of Newport Beach, CA., two sisters, Glenda Kay of Prescott Valley, AZ and Linda Fay of Reno, NV, and two nieces, Robin of Huntington Beach, CA and Raquel of Huntington Beach, CA.  Her family moved to the Antelope Valley in 1953 where Sue attended grade school and graduated from Antelope Valley High School in 1959.  Sue worked for many years as an executive secretary at Boeing, Rockwell, and Lockheed, and was very active in several charitable organizations, including Friends of the Library in Palmdale and the Alpha Charter Guild at the AV Hospital.  She also served as a Director of the Palmdale Chamber of Commerce.  Sue had a love of architecture and design, and obtained her degree in interior design, later becoming a real estate agent selling homes and working as a property manager for many years.  She later moved to Fountain Valley and Costa Mesa, CA where she worked for a construction company before retiring.  Sue loved being close to the beach and travelling the world.  Her love of travel was shaped by her time living in Taichung Taiwan as a teenager, and her adventurous spirit took her to many destinations around the globe.  She was an excellent cook and hostess, and always enjoyed entertaining.  Her ease and style, along with her friendly manner and big smile, always left a lasting impression with everyone she met.  She had a great sense of humor and was always kind to everyone.  She was a "classy lady" in every sense of the word.  She will always be loved and certainly be missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.  She is now resting in God's arms and at peace.  Graveside services will be held at 10:30am, Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Joshua Memorial Park, Lancaster, CA.  You may sign the condolence book at:   www.chapelofthevalleymortuary.com .  Chapel of the Valley Mortuary, Palmdale Directors.
