Gail Rand

Gail Faye Rand was born to Clarence and Lillian Allen in Manasquan, New Jersey on October 15, 1937. She grew up in Manasquan with her brother Richard and sister Sharon. In 1955 Gail graduated from high school and married LeRoy “Gene” Rand. Gail and Gene moved to California shortly after, living in San Jose where they were blessed with two sons and in 1964 settled in Palmdale, California. Gail had a strong desire to support her family and worked in fireworks manufacture for several years. Gail also volunteered for many years as scorekeeper and in the snack bar for her sons’ little league games. She moved on to the big leagues taking a position at Lockheed California in 1974, working her way up to Quality Assurance Inspector on several high-value projects, including the F-117A. Gail joined Gene in retirement after 18 years at Lockheed. Gail and Gene enjoyed traveling throughout the US, Mexico, Canada, and Central America. In her later years, she and Gene lived with her son Glen and his wife Joyce. She loved to share her faith in Jesus and her child rearing knowledge. She was always willing to help others and was a loving and giving person, she found many friends through her faith. She is greatly missed by those who knew her. Gail left us on October 13, 2022, just two days shy of her 85th birthday. Gail is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gene and brother, Richard. She is survived by her sister Sharon Carr, sons Karl and wife Alice and Glen and his wife Joyce as well as her grandchildren Stephen Rand and wife Kayla, Jennifer Matilainen and husband Mike, Dami Rand and her husband Gil, Christopher Gonzalez, and Melanie Rhoda and husband Roland, as well as 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
