Esther Cooper

COOPER, Esther born March 27, 1934 in Los Angeles (Watts), CA.   Passed away June 19, 2013 in Lancaster, CA.   Esther was born and raised in (Watts), Los Angeles, CA.   She then moved and resided in New York, and Las Vegas where her eldest child was born. She loved to dance and was inspired by music. She returned to California where she raised her children until she came to the Antelope Valley in September of 1965.   She was a homemaker and raised her 5 children and had a hand in the life of her Grandchildren, which she leaves a great legacy with today.    She mastered many pieces of embroidery, and would enjoy countless hours of this craft.   She also enjoyed drawing.   Accomplishments for Esther, was the remarkable task of touching each of her children with great strength and fortitude.   A legacy that is being passed from generation to generation.   She is survived by her daughters, Melody Linicon, Lancaster, CA; Di’ Anne Hines (Troy), Houston, Texas; Regina Chung (David), Palmdale, CA; sons, Rico Nunley (Phyllis) Palmdale, CA: Carlos Nunley, Lake Los Angeles; 21   grandchildren, Michelle Ramirez (Joe), Melanie Aguliar ( Willie), Marylin Good (Brad), Steveland Hookfin (Charmaine), Kenneth Hookfin (Hannah), Isaiah Hookfin, Paul Hookfin, Farrin Lewis, Christopher Lewis (Magda), Bryson Lewis (Emily), Andre Nunley, Aric Nunley, Chea Nunley, Brittany Nunley, Nathan Nunley,   Carlos Nunley Jr, Charles Nunley, Victoria Nunley, Janette Oliver, Noah Chung, Noelle Chung, 29 great-grandchildren, Amarinda Ramirez, Vincent Ramirez, Laura Mc Allister, Derey Aguliar, Desmond Aguliar, Brianna Hookfin, Camryn Hookfin, Kason Hookfin, Khori Hookfin, Maddison Hookfin,   Noah Hookfin, Lyndon Hookfin, Michael Hookfin, Teagun Hookfin, Jaxon Hookfin, Jayden Lewis, Alexis Lewis, Kennedie Lewis, Haysleigh Lewis, Kenneth Cooper Lewis,    Zaydin Lewis-Girder, Anthony Lewis, Braxton Lewis, Kobe Lewis, Andre Nunley, Reahane Nunley, Andrea Nunley, Terrell Oliver, Lavender Oliver. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elise and Ida Rangel, sister, Anita Sapp and great-granddaughter, Kennedy Sierra Hookfin.   A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 10:00 A.M.   at the Living Stone Cathedral of Worship, located at 37721 N. 100 th Street, Little Rock, CA 93543.   Officiating the service will be Pastor Terrence Hughes.   You may sign the condolence book at www.chapelofthevalleymortuary.com .   Chapel of the Valley Mortuary, Palmdale Directors.
