Edward Lee Warfield He was born on May 3, 1931 in Ecorse, MI (near Detroit). He passed away July 22, 2017 in Lancaster, CA. He graduated from Highland High School in Lincoln County, KY in 1949. He was a Korean War veteran serving in the United States Air Force. He was discharged in 1952 with rank of Staff Sergeant. He was a husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and brother. He leaves behind his children James Lee, John Mark, and Paul David; daughter-in-law Karen Diane; grandchildren Emily, Samuel, Liam, Grant, Nathaniel and Aidan; brother Alonzo Warfield; and sister Arvena Lewis. He is preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Jewel Warfield; his parents James and Sarah Warfield; sisters Ann, Beatrice, Lottie, and Irene; brothers Charles, Jim, Alfonzo, and Henry; daughter-in-law Maureen Warfield; and granddaughter Zue-Zue. After serving his country in the Korean conflict, Edward moved to California and worked for a short time in the aircraft industry. In the 1960s he started his gardening business and continued until his retirement. Some of Edward’s greatest joys were taking his family to Dodger games and camping trips to Death Valley, Yosemite, and Grand Canyon. A graveside funeral service will be held on August 5 at 9:30 AM at Joshua Memorial Park.
