Earl Claire Zink was born in Long Beach, CA on January 2, 1932. He attended Antelope Valley High School, where he participated in the Future Farmers of America. He served 4 years in the US Navy during the Korean War. After his service, he began his career as a construction worker, building motels throughout the country. Earl enjoyed his life until he passed away at his home in Littlerock, CA on December 9, 2013. Earl will be greatly missed by his beloved companion Georgette Davis, his daughter Tammy Symonds of Santee, CA, his son Kenneth Zink of Mexico, his multiple grandchildren and great children, and his extended family from Littlerock, CA. Earl is predeceased by his mother Tena, father Claire, daughter Tena, sister Dorothy, and brother Bob. Earl was a hard worker and a handy man. Nothing could keep him from his work; day in and day out he worked, regardless of health issues. He was a generous man and devoted to his friends and family. He would do anything he could to help someone in need. Earl loved being outdoors, especially on his orchard in Littlerock. He had a great passion for gardening and caring for his peach and apple orchard. His children, grandchildren and great children looked forward to their yearly visits to Grandpa Earls to pick fruit from his orchard and explore the outdoors. Children loved him, and he enjoyed their visits. Earl will be greatly missed. Special thanks are given to Georgette, who cared for Earl in sickness and in health, and to Denise and Brad Bones, for their loving support.
