Earl Cochran

May 29, 1934 — April 15, 2012

Earl Forest (Corky) Cochran, passed away into the arms of our Loving Father on April 15, 2012.  He was born on May 29th 1934 in the town of Tipton, Indiana.  He graduated high school in Frankfort, Clinton County, Indiana, where the school mascot was The Hot Dog.  He married his wife, Loretta Ann Kailer on June 18, 1955 in the city of Burbank, Ca.  They were married for over 46 years until his wife passed away 10 years ago.  Earl went into the US Navy around 1951.  During the Korean War he served on an aircraft carrier (sub chaser) and was a redshirt (ordinance).  During his service in the US Navy, he picked up the nickname, “Corky” and that name stayed with him for the remainder of his life.  Corky worked for Pacific Bell and AT&T here in the Antelope Valley and LA County area for over 40 years of service.  He retired from his job here in the Antelope Valley around 11 years ago until he passed away.  Corky was an active member of the Fin and Feather Club in Palmdale.  He enjoyed fishing and camping, playing cards with family and friends and was a big NASCAR fan.  He enjoyed eating his meals at the Country Café here in Palmdale.  His remains will be scattered at sea.  He is survived by his daughter, Carol Ann Cole of Palmdale, son, Dale Allen Cochran of Las Vegas, Nevada and his grandson, Eric Eugene Cole of Oxnard, Calif.  A private memorial service at his home is pending.  In Loving Memory of our Father and Grandfather, we all loved you very much and you will be deeply missed.
