Doris Mae Taylor was born in Marshall, Missouri on July 26, 1922 and passed away July 2, 2018, 24 days short of her 96th birthday. Doris, with her family, moved to CA in 1942. She worked as a “Rosie the Riveter” at Lockheed, Burbank during W.W.II. There in 1946, she met and married the love of her life, Harry. Soon after sons, Dennis and Lawrence were born, making her dream of being a mother come true. Besides being a wonderful homemaker, her interests included painting, playing the organ, gardening, camping and making the best homemade pumpkin pies. The joys of her life were her family. She is survived by her son Dennis (Debbie), 3 grandchildren Dustin (Andrea), Darcy, Derek (Marlene) and 6 beautiful great grandsons Logan, Ronan, Ciarai, Brendan, Bronson and Edison, all who adored her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry and son Lawrence. A “Celebration of Life” will be held at Chapel of the Valley Mortuary, August 11, 2018 at 11:00 AM. No graveside service.
