Claire Stein

On December 10, 2014 Claire Louise Stein passed away peacefully at home in Etna with her loved ones by her side.
Claire Louise Stein (Marks) was born November 17, 1928 in Puente, California and raised in Whittier.
While raising her growing family, she enjoyed playing cribbage with family and friends. She also loved bowling, word searches and loved doing her Brazilian embroidery.
Claire lived in Etna with her youngest son, David, who was her caregiver. She enjoyed spending time with David’s two boys.
Claire was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Robert W. Stein.
Claire is survived by 5 children, Carol and John Bennett of Palmdale and their children, Wade, Brenda and Lynne; Robert C and Shoshana Stein of Encinitas and their children, Laura and Sharon; Cynthia and Robert Rowell of Walnut Creek and their children, Tracey and Kimberly; James and Leonor Stein of Van Nuys and their children, Maria, Cathy and Robert and David Stein of Etna and his young sons, Joseph and Roman and their sister, Montgomery.
Claire is also survived by her 13 great-grandchildren: Chloe, Tyler, Khristian, Natalie, Elyse, James, Leia, Derek, Horatio, Malcolm, William, Olivia, and Allison.
A Rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m., followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 387 Center Street in Etna. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, December 22, 2014 at Chapel of the Valley, 1755 East Avenue R in Palmdale. An internment will follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 2200 East Avenue South in Palmdale.
