Bertha Mae Brisby

Bertha Mae Brisby was born in Dallas, Texas, on October 24, 1943, to August and Bessie Griffin Davis, who preceded her in death. She was the youngest of six children. Bertha attended Dallas public schools and graduated from Lincoln High School. She was a licensed vocational nurse and worked in this field for 50 years before retiring.

Bertha was preceded in death by her late husband, Fred Brisby, Jr.; her daughter, Beverly Ann Brisby; her granddaughter, Cherise Trotter; three sisters, Justine Davis White, Augustine Clayton, and Agnes Jennings; and two brothers, Olan Davis and Carlier Davis.

She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Sharron Lee (Pastor Ken Lee); her sons, Roland Brisby and Fred Brisby III; her brother-in-law, Tyre Jennings, Sr.; four grandchildren, Tiffany Shabazz (Muhammad), David Owens, Jr., Kiera Brisby and Roosevelt Brisby; four great-grandchildren: Taylor, Zionah, Kavea and Kenaiya; and many other relatives and friends.
