Anthony Konsie

KONSIE, Senior Airman Anthony H. was born on September 1, 1989 in Los Angeles, California.  He passed away October 4, 2013 in Avondale, Arizona.  He graduated high school in Bremerton, Washington then entered the Air Force on May 15, 2008.  After graduating from Basic Training and Technical School, SrA Konsie's first duty assignment was Osan AB, South Korea where he was assigned as an Aircrew Egress System Technician.  From ther he was assigned to Aviono AB, Italy, and finally Luke AFB, Arizona.  During his military career he received countless awards and decorations, which include Air Force Achievement Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, AF Overseas Ribbon Short, AF Overseas Ribbon Long, Air Force Expeditionary Service Ribbon with Gold Border, Air Force Longevity Service Medal, USAF NCO PME Graduate Ribbon, Air Force Training Ribbon, and NATO Medal.  Anthony's hobbies were playing basketball, football, as well as watching movies.  He is survived by his mother, Sylvia Aguinaga, brothers, Alex Vasquez and Michael Konsie, and numerous other family members and friends.  A funeral mass will be held at 10am Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Palmdale with a graveside service to follow at Bakersfield National Cemetery.  Chapel of the Valley Mortuary, Palmdale Directors.
