Adah Lefebvre

August 25, 1928 — March 11, 2016

ADAH MAY LEFEBVRE Aka: Jerry Born: August 25, 1928 Passed away: March 11, 2016 Adah, known to many as Jerry, passed away peacefully Friday, March 11, 2016 in her home in Palmdale California.  Her loving companion, Merle Bouche, was right by her side. Adah was born in Detroit Michigan to her parents Howard and Anna Smith.  She was one of five children.  Adah lived in Detroit throughout her school years and as a young adult.  She soon met Richard Lefebvre, they married and had 2 beautiful daughters, Judith Ann and Janice Lynn.  The family moved to Palmdale California in 1977 to purchase their beloved cemetery, Desert Lawn Memorial Park.  They owned and operated the cemetery together for nearly 25 years.  Sadly, Richard fell ill and passed away in 2001.  Adah had so many fond memories and amazing friends along the way.  She owned racing Mules, she was very involved at the lodges, she loved watching the Lakers & the Angels, she loved the racetrack, and she played tons of bingo, and was a shopaholic.  Adah continued to run the cemetery with the plan to have her girls take over one day.  Unfortunately Janice Lynn Lefebvre passed in 2003 and Judith Ann West passed in 2009.  Leaving only her granddaughter, Dawn West-Shank to take on the family business, which she continues to do today.  As fate would have it, she was lucky enough to find happiness again with Merle Bouche.  They have been together and virtually inseparable for over 10 years.  They loved each other deeply.  It is amazing to find two amazing men in one lifetime.  But no one deserved happiness and unconditional love more than her.  She was the kindest, most generous person.  She will be greatly missed and remembered fondly by so many.   Adah is survived by her only grandchild Dawn West-Shank, her grandson-in-law Steven Shank, her great granddaughter Jordyn Marilyn Shank, her son-in-law Richard West Jr., several nieces and nephews, her loving companion Merle Bouche along with his family, and her faithful dog Brinkley.  Services will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, March 26th at Chapel of the Valley Mortuary, located at 1755 East Avenue R, Palmdale, California.  Then continue in procession to Desert Lawn Memorial Park for the interment and blessing.  A lunch reception will immediately follow the cemetery, and will be held at the Masonic Lodge on Avenue Q in Palmdale.  To sign the condolence book visit www.chapelofthevalleymortuary.com.  Chapel of the Valley Mortuary Palmdale, Directors
